All under one roof

Hello ladies!

I have not been able to catch up on the reviews of the products I've been trying out! I'm probably going to relook the length of reviews so I can get the views out to share with you!

Here's the lowdown of some of the products I've used over the last couple of months, in no order of preference:

Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream: Will not repurchase
too rich for me, caused milia seeds.

Burberry eye-shadows : will add more to collection if $$ permits
great pigmentation, love it but its costly.

Diorshow Iconic Extreme Mascara: Yes! but its often out of stock!
Love this baby. It gives a distinct yet not too dolly/dramatic look! Love how the lashes separates and lengthens with the brush!

Elizabeth Arden Prevage Hydrating Fluid: will not repurchase
Too rich for my skin type and too expensive as well!

Shu Uemura Tsuya Skin: on the fence
I have a love-hate relationship with this product. I'm questioning the underlying reason for its brightening effect and if might be due to the shimmery pearly pink extracts they have added to the serum.

Laneige Water Sleeping Pack Ex: my new HG!
Love how this gel like product keeps my skin supple and soft the next month despite sleeping in an extremely dry environment. My must-have product!

Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder: repurchased once but...
Very fine and lightweight powder, does not cause end of day cracks in the make-up as much as Bobbi's brown loose powder (old version)

Laura Mercier Oil-Free Primer: No way I'm buying again
I don't like this at all, no intention to repurchase. In fact I barely touched the tube.

Loreal Impact Collagene Curl-Fixing Volume Mascara: Not really my type of mascara
ok for the price, slightly clumpy after 2 straight week of use.

Moogoo Oil Cleansing Method (Combi Skin): Don't waste ur time on this product
Oh this is horrible, the oil is so thick that it clogs my pore. I've suffered tremendous breakouts, likely accrued to this product!

Talika Gentle eye cleanser: Will not repurchase
Not friendly for my eyes, has caused irritation thrice throughout entire use

And for the next couple of weeks/months... I'll first be trying out Ettusais Skin Extra Version Up, Aqua Shooter and Acne Nighttime Defense Powder!

+

new products which my mom kindly gave me from VMV Hypoallergenics where I spotted a new store in Ion Orchard, Singapore. Its apparently an American brand.

Thanks babe for stopping by, I hope the low-down helped! Do email me at dollypalettes[at]gmail[dot]com if you would like me to cover any one of the above in detail before I get to it! (Yes, I know I'm slow!)

psst: have you supported the breast cancer initiative? Its National Breast Cancer Awareness Month every October (:

Baby with eczema?

If your baby has got eczema, you can try

I have previously tried Aveeno as well but that's more for adult + it didn't work for me. Eczema is a tricky thing. You have trial and error and look out closely for reactions.

Good luck!

My soothing balm has finally arrived!

I received my Eczema & Psoriasis Balm from Moogoo finally! It took them almost 1 month, which seemed a tad long due to lost mail. Thankfully they replaced the shipment promptly!

Moogoo's Eczema Solution suitable for both children & adult
As mentioned in my previous entry, I do have a case of eczema after returning from an overseas trip to my hot and humid country. Doctors do not know the exact cause but prescribed me dosages of anti-histamine and a hydrocortisone cream (i.e. steroid cream). When I was younger, I had some bad experiences and some side effect from using steroid creams which causes skin thinning and discoloration (darken parts of your skin which the cream is applied on). So I went in search of an alternative and came across Moogoo. I'm also using Moogoo's Soothing MGM cream as a complement.

I did also explore several other options such as Aveeno's cream for eczema, Renew intensive skin therapy etc but they were all unsuccessful. In particular, I felt Aveeno's cream was really thick and left a "sticky" unfinished feel on my skin no matter how much I tried to massage the moisturizer in. However at this point, it is worthy to note that whatever works for me may not work for another. It's all a trial and error processs. So yes, its important to find out what works for you and if you are even mildly allergic to anything!

Eczema & Psoriasis Balm

The Balm is also known as "Irritable Skin Balm" in some countries. It sells for AUD 16.90 on their website - www.moogoo.com.au - and also in malaysia for RM 69.00.

There's a "herbs" smell that comes along with the cream and generally leaves a soothing feel to the inflamed skin areas. It is also easily absorbed into the skin and does not leave a sticky or uncomfortable feeling.

My Parcel!

On a side note, this is my first time ordering form the website and it was nice to see my tubes of balm came in this cute box!

By the way, I'm currently residing in Singapore and I normally buy in bulk. So if you're also located here and want to try the product, I'm willing to let go of some of my purchases (in full unused tubes/tubs) at the cost which you can buy on the website + my import postage fees + postage fees to deliver to you. Do drop me a message at dollypalettes[at]gmail[dot]com if you are interested in just trying out a tube/tub. I'm only doing this out of goodwill cause I understand that we, people with sensitive skin, want to try the products for some time before deciding that yes, this is the cream!

Good luck!
